Not only skiing
A holiday between sport and relax
The Lusia Alps Ski Area is a well-visited winter tourist destination in the Dolomites, whose natural beauty attracts a high number of tourists coming to admire the beautiful snow-covered scenery.
Walk in complete freedom and safety in the shadow of the majestic Pale Di San Martino... it has never looked so good!
A walk brings you face to face with some of the most important mountain groups of the area such as the Catinaccio-Rosengarten, Sassolungo, the Pale di San Martino, Latemar, and Lagorai.
Rosengarten becomes rose coloured at dawn and sunset, a well known and much admired phenomenon known as the Enrosadira.
Winter activity isn't limited to downhill skiing and snowboarding, but also includes excursions and sledge rides. Take a romantic night-time descent with a sledge after having enjoyed a typical meal in a mountain hut. Snowshoes are easy-to-use and the many itineraries suitable for snowshoeing are an ideal way to discover the mountains in winter, alone or with an Alpine Guide who will accompany you on fascinating snowy trails on the look out for wild animal tracks.
Easy, safe and panoramic excursions (about 3 hour round trip) and the "la Morea – Malga Bocche", starting at almost 2000m in the “La Morea” area; accessible using the two chair lifts from Bellamonte-Castelir. The level trail, which winds for 5km, is groomed and can be done on foot, with snow-shoes or with cross country and alpine skis. The trail leads to Malga Bocche in the magnificent Paneveggio Nature Park.
N.B. Never underestimate the difficulty of any of the trails; plan your itinerary in advance; always check the snow forecast before setting off!
